My condolences to all the family. I extend my loving appreciation to Lido and his family for hosting me as an exchange student from the east coast of America to sunny Australia. His keen intellect and his wit and humor were unmatched. I thank him for showing me the long bike path to the Commonwealth pool at Chandler, weekend adventures, and all the rides to school too. We shared many enjoyable conversations and he shared so much about his life.

A time of loss and great memories of a wonderful man, have known Lido for over thirty years and during this time always up for a chat and advice.
With his help got me into my own house as I just needed bit of a push ,from there into shares and other investments, had a great sense of humour and still remember that grin he has when he comes out with a quirky comment,he will be missed deeply ,lovely gentleman!!

I remember one day when Papa was living at the Burbank property he had given me the keys to the ride-on mower.
It used to take him many hours to mow all the grass around the house yard and stables areas.
He had told me to only use the mower in 2nd gear - which is very very slow.
So here I am mowing in what I called “rabbit gear” [going around much faster than what Papa did].
One day, as I am doing laps up and down the front paddock area, Papa had driven his car down the driveway to check on the letterbox. I thought he was leaving to go out for work.
What I didn’t know was that he was “checking up on me”.
I ended up having the mower keys taken off me - never again allowed to use the mower as I was “speeding”.
So may I just say “rest in peace, Papa” and I thank you for what you have taught me.
Until the day we meet up again I will miss you and will always love you.
