Today is the final day of 2020, a year thst has been challenging to say the least The year I lost you Dad ... my hero, my friend , the person I'd imagined I'd have with me here forever ... I have so many great memories of times we shared together and will cherish them always I am deveststed you're not still here but I also am so aware that in amongst all the madness and sadness this year brought , you achieved one of your major goals of your own this year ..... You were able to live your life to its fullest for 94 years and were able to live in your own home until you left us on your terms and joined mum. This was your dream and your most desperate wish and you did it ! I cannot be selfish and wish for you to be here still ... I was blessed for so long and I and grateful and so privileged that we spent so much time together Now though dad, as we leave 2020 and move in to 2021 I have precious memories of the past and comforting visions of the future of you and mum together again forever and know that you are happy together with the love of your life once more . I also know you'll be looking down with love on Paul and I, along with Geoff Lindsey and guiding us through life. What more can I ask for?
