I am so proud of Alice and Fletcher with their memories and love tributes for their dad. It saddens me as Fathers Day approaches this coming Sunday and the emptiness they will have to deal with without a dad now.
If anyone recorded the words Fletcher spoke about his Father on the 8th August we would love to hear from you.. He told me a day earlier He wanted to talk at the funeral and when I asked him "are you going to write something down" His reply to me was--Grandma I know exactly what I have to say"
Alice had her thoughts and memories written down as she had struggled days earlier with what she would say.
No matter what tragedy confronts us, we have the assurance that God is weaving together the greatest ending to our story.
Everything broken in this world is being made whole. It may not feel that way when heartaches threaten to swallow us whole, but God is still at work redeeming broken people and our broken world. It is the reason we can have hope in the midst of suffering. jesus has already won the victory. And its ours.

You were the loveliest person I had ever met, you were my teacher a few years ago, but I will never forget my memories of you and how you stood out as a person. I will miss you. Rest In Peace all my love <3?

I am deeply saddened to hear of James decease. In the late eighties he was a competent batsman in the St.Peters eleven and James was a pleasure to coach. I'll always remember his ready smile and good humour.
To you his family I extend my deepest sympathy and hope you find comfort in each other in the weeks and months ahead

Kind and thoughtful were the two words that came to mind the first time I met you and that’s how you’ll be remembered by all whose lives you have touched.
Rest easy now James.

Dear James,
May you Rest In Peace. You have completely touched all of our hearts with your constant kindness and your beautiful soul. As you told me once, "family is forever." You will forever be in our thoughts, our memories from the "harvey shindigs" (as you called it) and of course our hearts. We will miss you dearly. Sending love to you <3?

Mr Durham,
Your time at our school was cut short but in that short period of time, I got to know who you were as a person. You are very kind hearted, you were very nice to every student at Assisi. I wish I got to know you more and that I had more time having you as my teacher.
You will be missed Mr Durham, rest easy.

Past Students From CCC (2015 Graduates) on 6 August, 2018 at 11:01am

Mr. Durham, I pray that you now know the impact that you have left on students around you. Although I only had you as a substitute teacher you left a lasting impression on myself and my peers. We were grateful for the time we had with you as our teacher and you never failed to connect with us and brighten up our harder days approaching graduation. You wont be forgotten and our hearts go out to your close friends and family. Rest in Peace xx

I’ve known James all his life, we grew up together and he was like a brother to me. He was the kindest soul and had the ability to get on with everyone and the courage to be himself. Although we didn’t see each other a lot in these later years he was often in my thoughts. My heart goes out to his family for a son, brother and father gone far too soon. James, you'll remain forever in our hearts <3
