>read onIn 1985, Tabita was the second child born to Victoria in the small town of Caransebes, Romania. This family later grew to be a large household of seven children, consisting of two beautiful girls followed by their five brothers. Life was challenging, particularly due to the country’s difficult standards of living under the communist regime.
However, with the fall of the political party and Romania’s borders opening, the opportunity for Tabita and her family to move to a different country became possible. The family was allowed access to Australia which they believed would provide better prospects and greater freedom. Fourteen years ago, Tabita arrived in Brisbane. She was greeted by her aunty at the airport where she expressed her excitement about her new life and love for her new country. She was already making plans and was overflowing with hopes and dreams.
In late 2009, Iuliana was married to George and they were blessed with three wonderful children.
Her family and her children were always Iulianas priority.
This was evident in her life from a day-to-day basis sacrificing her time, money and effort as only a mother could. It was also made evident in her diary where she often wrote prayers to God asking for protection over her family, her loved ones, her children and her husband.
She frequently asked for God to give her wisdom on how to love them better, and for forgiveness in areas where she felt she had fallen short.
Iuliana, It is with great sorrow that you were taken at such a young age, so suddenly, unexpectedly and to have left your beautiful children at such a fragile age. You have taught us to remain positive about life and to number our days well.
We believe it is appropriate and would like to share with you all some Bible verses that Tabita held dear which we have found written out by her own hand.
1 John 2:15 reads:
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
and
1 John 5:14:
“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.”
I'd like to thank Iulianas family for gathering those thoughts for us today.
